Santiago de Chile, 5 ene (EFE), (Imágenes: Jose Caviedes).- El Archivo Nacional de Chile presentó hoy más de un millar de documentos secretos restaurados sobre la operación del "Departamento 50", un organismo policial que permitió desmantelar células de espionaje de la Alemania nazi que operaban en Latinoamérica durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
La Policía de Investigaciones (PDI) desclasificó estos escritos a mediados de 2017, y este viernes se dio a conocer al público la última entrega de trece tomos donados, restaurados y digitalizados, que contienen imágenes e información de la forma en que se investigó a los grupos nazis entre los años 1937 a 1947.

Cuando eran niños, fueron deportados de Polonia por los nazis y forzados a la germanización. La orden procedía de Heinrich Himmler. Hermann Lüdeking, Jozef Sowa y Alodia Witaszek nunca se han conocido, pero comparten el mismo destino.
A Jozef Sowa todavía se le llenan los ojos de lágrimas cuando narra la tragedia de su vida. Sus padres fueron asesinados por soldados de la Wehrmacht en Polonia en 1943, y él y sus cuatro hermanos fueron deportados a Alemania. Más tarde lograron regresar a su país. Pero su hermana menor, Janina, fue dada en adopción como si fuera una niña alemana y hoy todavía vive en Alemania. Fue un robo de niños planificado. En 1941 Heinrich Himmler dio la orden de "reunir a los niños pequeños especialmente de buena raza de familias polacas y criarlos en centros y hogares infantiles especiales".
"Así pretendía aumentar la población alemana", explica la profesora Isabel Heinemann. Esta historiadora lleva años investigando el caso de los niños robados, de los que calcula que hay unos 50.000 en toda Europa. El mayor grupo procede de Polonia. A través de la Oficina Central para la Raza y el Reasentamiento de las SS, niños que no estaban protegidos por sus padres biológicos se daban a familias alemanas, se cambiaba su nombre y fecha de nacimiento, se ocultaba su verdadera identidad.
Después del final de la guerra, aquellos niños cuyos orígenes pudieron reconstruirse volvieron a su país. Un país que, para muchos, era extraño y en el que su identidad de niño alemán "de Hitler" les dificultaba la reintegración. Los responsables de los robos nunca tuvieron que responder ante la justicia.
