PUNTA CANA, República Dominicana.- El concierto de la banda estadounidense Maroon Five, pautado para este sábado 9 de septiembre en Punta Cana, ha sido cancelado en vista de la entrada inminente del huracán Irma a territorio dominicano, informaron hoy los artistas de la agrupación tras una lamentable decisión en conjunto con los ejecutivos de Live Nation, SD Concerts y Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. <br /> <br />“Nuestra responsabilidad primordial es garantizar la seguridad y el bienestar de nuestro público”, explicó Saymon Díaz, presidente de SD Concerts, por lo que a ley de días del evento se han visto en la obligación de cancelarlo en una resolución unánime de todos los involucrados en la organización del mismo. <br /> <br />Mediante un comunicado especial Maroon Five explicó la “difícil decisión” de suspender su presentación basada en la necesidad de proteger a sus seguidores, aprovechó para agradecer el apoyo abrumador de sus fanáticos locales y pidió disculpas a todos aquellos que ansiaban asistir al concierto.
