MUNDO EN GUERRA: Trump avisa a Ucrania, tensión total en Siria y la fuerza de Europa frente a Rusia

Donald Trump asegura que Zelensky está dispuesto a llegar a un "acuerdo" con Rusia, tras haber hablado en París. Zelensky, en este entorno dice haber tenido un "encuentro bueno y fructífero" con Trump y Macron. En un entorno en el que Estados Unidos, administración Biden, anuncia casi 1.000 millones de dólares en ayuda militar para Ucrania. Por otro lado, el apoyo de Dinamarca a Ucrania, ha hecho hablar a Zelensky: "Nuestro escudo aéreo se ha reforzado aún más". Ucrania, a su vez, recibe el segundo lote de aviones de combate F-16 de Dinamarca y dice que ya está derribando misiles rusos.

Por otro lado, vemos cómo el presidente electo Donald Trump ha afirmado que permanecería en la OTAN siempre que los países miembros paguen sus cuotas y traten a Estados Unidos de manera justa: "Si están pagando sus cuentas y creo que nos tratan de manera justa, la respuesta es absoluta: me quedaría con la OTAN".

A su vez, vemos la publicación de Emmanuel Macron, quien dice: "El Estado bárbaro por fin ha caído. Expreso mi agradecimiento al pueblo de Siria por su valentía y paciencia. En este momento de incertidumbre, le deseo paz, libertad y unidad. Francia sigue comprometida con la seguridad y la estabilidad en todo Oriente Medio". en este entorno, Wall Street Wolverine comenta que EEUU ha anunciado una ola de ataques efectuados este domingo contra 75 objetivos de Estado Islámico en el centro de Siria, solo horas después de la caída del régimen del presidente sirio, Bashar al Assad, para "evitar la reconstitución de la organización yihadista en este caótico momento".

Respecto a Occidente, vemos cómo Gran Bretaña, Alemania y EEUU intensifican la vigilancia en el mar del Norte, incluidos los aviones antisubmarinos Poseidon P-8, en medio de temores de que "Rusia tenga como objetivo los enlaces de energía submarina", según cuenta Telegraph. Y, por último, en Europa reina una sensación de impotencia a medida que se acerca el 20 de enero. La UE controla el mayor punto de salida del petróleo ruso -el Báltico- y los barcos griegos representan el 25% de su capacidad. La UE tiene mucho poder, lo que le da influencia sobre cómo termina la guerra en Ucrania...

On February 24th, Russia launched a military invasion of Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin called it a “special military operation,” but the scale of the attack shows this is a full-scale war that has already caused more than 100 casualties and forced more than half a million Ukrainians to flee their homes.

Ukraine and Russia’s conflict goes back to 2014, when Russia invaded and annexed Crimea and Russian-backed separatist forces took over parts of southeastern Ukraine’s Donbas region. But to understand the full context behind the invasion, it’s important to go even farther back, to the time when Europe’s current-day divisions began, and see how that shaped Europe’s power balance today.
