Un pleito de empujones, golpes y sillazos fue en lo que se convirtió un intento de asamblea del Partido Nacional Voluntad Ciudadana (PNVC).
El altercado que se produjo en un hotel de la capital, dejó varias personas heridas.
La presunta causa del problema, fue una diferencia entre dos facciones de esa organización política dirigidas por José Leonel Abreu Aguilera y Juan Cohen, y en medio del intento de conformación de una nueva directiva.
En varios videos que circulan por las redes sociales, se pudo observar cómo los militantes lanzaban sillas y se golpeaban y empujaban unos a los otros.

El presidente de la República Dominicana, Danilo Medina, recibió hoy en el Palacio Nacional al vicepresidente de los Estados Unidos de América, Joseph Biden.
La ocasión sirvió para reiterar la amistad y alianza estratégica de ambos países y pasar revista a los desafíos comunes de ambos pueblos.
Los EEUU es el principal socio comercial de la República Dominicana. El comercio entre ambos países ronda los 11,500 millones de dólares. 1.5 millones de dominicanos residen en los EEUU y esa misma cantidad de ciudadanos norteamericanos visitan la República Dominicana al año en condición de turistas. 250 mil ciudadanos de los EEUU viven, trabajan o tienen negocios en la República Dominicana.
Junto a Centroamérica forman parte del acuerdo de libre comercio conocido bajo las siglas DR-CAFTA que ha significado enormes oportunidades para empresarios de la región.
En el muy cordial encuentro se reafirmaron miradas y posiciones comunes sobre la libertad, comercio, educación, seguridad ciudadana, energías renovables y limpias y lucha contra el narcotráfico.
El presidente dominicano destacó el temple e historia personal del vicepresidente norteamericano y éste último valoró como la impronta de un líder decidido la rapidez y consenso logrado por el presidente Danilo Medina en torno a ley de naturalización, la robusta inversión en educación y ofreció el apoyo estadounidense para extender en todo el territorio nacional el sistema de atención a emergencias y seguridad 911.

STORYLINE:
A tight security ring remained around Brazil's embassy in the Honduras capital Tegucigalpa on Saturday as a stand-off continued between the Honduras interim government and its ousted president Manuel Zelaya.
Reports suggest no progress has been made in resolving the country's political crisis in the six days since Zelaya secretly returned, demanding to be reinstated.
Zelaya, along with relatives, some of his ministers and supporters and journalists have been holed up inside the Brazilian embassy since Monday.
Zelaya has said he made a 15-hour, cross-country overland journey using various vehicles to slip into the country undetected Monday. But the Spanish newspaper La Nacion reported Friday that the scion of a local media and banking family, attorney Yani Rosenthal, had lent him a helicopter to whisk him to Honduras.
Brazilian Embassy business attache, Francisco Catunda, told reporters outside the embassy on Saturday that this was an "atypical situation" and that Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva had said that Zelaya "could stay at the embassy as long as he wants."
The interim president Roberto Micheletti said on Friday that Zelaya might be allowed to leave the foreign embassy without being arrested if he is granted political asylum outside the country but that he would not negotiate face-to-face with Zelaya for the time being.
But Zelaya has said he has no intention of leaving Honduras or abandoning the office to which he was elected.
On Saturday, supporters could be seen on the embassy rooftop following the movements of government police and soldiers in nearby houses.
On Friday, Zelaya accused the interim authorities of leaking gas inside the embassy causing dizziness, bleeding and headaches.
Zelaya also denounced the constant military presence around the compound as part of the government's scare tactics.
Hopes for a solution had been stoked by the possibility that international mediators would step in to help resolve the crisis.
