"Rusia sólo podría negociar con Donald Trump si la OTAN deja de existir". Zelaia

Adrián Zelaia, presidente de Ekai Group, comenta que para Ucrania, ahora mismo es el mejor momento para negociar "antes de que venga el desastre", sin embargo, este sería el peor momento para Rusia para sentarse en la mesa de negociaciones". La mayor esperanza para poder llegar a una negociación está en manos del presidente electo Donald Trump, que tal y como recalca Zelaia, "tiene voluntad de negociar con Rusia, pero no está tan cerca como él piensa".

José Luis Orella, profesor de historia contemporánea de la universidad CEU San Pablo, hace hincapié en que uno de los motivos de la escalada se debe a la participación de la OTAN en el conflicto. Frente a eso, Orella opina que "la desaparición de la OTAN seguiría a muchos acuerdos bilaterales". Además, de la llegada del presidente electo a la presidencia de EE.UU., Orella hace hincapié en que "Trump pone a Europa en jaque con sus exigencias de compromisos".

Eduardo Irastorza, profesor OBS Business School, recalca que Rumanía se está enfrentando a una situación muy delicada frente a las elecciones. Además, Irastorza teme que el conjunto de los conflictos abiertos puedan desembocar en una guerra global, sobre todo en Ucrania. Frente a esto, "Trump es un negociador y un vendedor internacional", por lo que se espera de él que pueda afrontar la situación de los conflictos abiertos que han escalado antes de su toma de posesión. Asimismo, "a la guerra económica le acompaña la guerra militar", por lo que la economía está sufriendo, sobre todo en Europa, las consecuencias de estos conflictos.
