One of the biggest myths about the Israel-Palestine conflict is that it's been going on for centuries, that this is all about ancient religious hatreds.
In fact, while religion is involved, the conflict is mostly about two groups of people who claim the same land. And it really only goes back about a century, to the early 1900s. At its heart, it is a conflict between two self-determination movements — the Jewish Zionist project and the Palestinian nationalist project — that lay claim to the same territory.

Em 635, a região do Levante foi conquistada pelo Califado Rashidun e teve início o período de dominação muçulmana. Apesar da conquista ter sido relativamente pacífica, A população entrou em um declínio drástico nesse período e houve um lento processo de islamização que resultou na fuga de populações não muçulmanas, na imigração de muçulmanos estrangeiros e na conversão local.

Al Qassam Bridages, the military wing of Hamas, have announced an operation they’re calling ‘Al Aqsa Floods.’ They say they have fired thousands of rockets from the besieged Palestinian enclave towards Israel, in response to the ongoing provocations in Al-Aqsa and the measures taken towards Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
The rockets fired from Gaza are believed to have landed in Ashkelon and least one person was killed in the Kfar Aviv area of Israel.
Warning sirens have been sounded in and around Gaza as well as central and southern Israel-as far as Tel Aviv and Occupied East Jerusalem.The Israeli Army has also urged residents near the border area with Gaza to remain indoors.
