El Salvador President Bukele denies granting favours to gangs

El Salvador's president is denying reports he offered a powerful gang better prison conditions in exchange for lowering the murder rate ahead of mid-term elections.
El Faro newspaper says it has documents that detail negotiations with the notorious MS-13 gang.
President Nayib Bukele responded with angry denials on Twitter.
But the attorney general says he plans to launch an investigation.
